We are active throughout Africa as legal advisers in transactions and ongoing commercial operations. Our business law service helps our clients to build their business in the region, as well as African companies to expand their operations abroad. Our work is undertaken by specialist teams, primarily based in London, Paris and the Middle East region.

We specialise in financial institutions, energy, infrastructure and commodities, transport, and technology, and we operate both in civil law francophone jurisdictions and in jurisdictions based on the common law. Our lawyers spend a significant amount of time on the ground, closely working with clients and local law firms. We have advised on transactions for approximately 40 African jurisdictions.

Our Africa practice’s growth has been driven not only by activity in the mining and energy sectors, but also recently through our involvement in many of the market leading telecoms deals. In addition, we also see strong growth on infrastructure projects.
